ABOUT G-WAC
Outputs
Outcomes will be achieved through the following specific results of measures (outputs):
- The project has created a joint PhD programme in Global Health and five interdisciplinary short courses in Pandemic Prevention/Preparedness, which also contribute to upgrading existing modules of MSc programmes (by training lecturers).
- G-WAC has enabled more than 100 West-African policy makers/ practitioners/ researchers to participate in short courses, and has provided scholarships for more than 140 PhD students, MSc students, and post-docs to spend sponsored study and research stays at G-WAC partner institutions (in Ghana or Germany).
- Researchers of G-WAC engage in joint collaborative research projects in Global Health and pandemic prevention/preparedness.
- The German-West African Centre has established strong links with policy, implementation and industry partners through biennial West-African Pandemic Preparedness Policy Dialogues and outreach events.
