Miss Patricia Matey-Akuffo

Patricia is a seasoned Programme/Project Manager with rich experience in project management. She is a business analyst and social enterprise development expert with rich experience in business ideation, incubation, acceleration, and SME development, and she co-founded several businesses in the past eleven (11) years of her career. Patricia has worked in both the private and development sectors and has been part of the implementation of programs for international organizations, including the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the European Union (EU), Global Affairs Canada, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the Department for International Development (DFID), Barclays Africa, governments, and local foundations. She has significant experience in resource development and fundraising and has been involved in developing innovative project proposals for funding. She has liaised with local, national, and international donors within Ghana to expand the resource base of organizations.

Patricia is the Project Manager at the German-West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention, based at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, where she oversees the overall management and coordination of the Centre and its projects while ensuring effective communication among the Project Management Team, partner institutions, and stakeholders.

Prior to her current role, she held positions including Hub Manager for the European Union-funded “No Business as Usual” project implemented by SOS Children’s Villages, Kumasi, Ghana, Training Coordinator at Youth Challenge International, and Business Advisor roles at TechnoServe, where she supported entrepreneurship and agribusiness development initiatives.
