If it must be done, then it must be done well.
My engagement with students and renowned faculty members broadened my horizon and transformed my understanding, especially, statistical methods which is an integral part of my field of study. I also had the opportunity to study a new course which will definitely be cardinal in my research career. I have learnt better ways of conducting research as well as analysing data. To some extent, I also appreciated German culture while interacting with students and other people I came across and going for sightseeing. Altogether, it was an insightful and fulfilling experience.
I am most grateful to the G-WAC and all related partners for this research exchange programme/scholarship. The experiences and lessons have helped me appreciate modern epidemiologic methods which will continue to be instrumental in my research career. Through this research exchange, I have been equipped with what it takes to contribute to the overarching aim of the G-WAC project. I do hope that a platform will be set up for all G-WAC scholars in order to build a strong network base as we look forward to more opportunities and work assiduously towards global health and pandemic prevention.
