On 24 March 2026, the German West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention (G-WAC) had the honour of hosting a delegation of representatives from German higher education institutions and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). The visit provided an opportunity to showcase G-WAC’s achievements in advancing interdisciplinary research, postgraduate training, and capacity building in global health and pandemic prevention across West Africa.
The engagement fostered meaningful discussions on strengthening academic collaboration, promoting research excellence, and expanding opportunities for student and staff exchange. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of G-WAC, DAAD, and its partner institutions to developing sustainable solutions to global health challenges through innovation.
